We routinely operate on a two shift basis. This minimizes unnecessary press shutdowns and startups, lowers our operating costs, and maintains the capacity necessary for high volume requirements.
Molding Trial
When an injection molding job is first set up and the shot size for that mold is unknown, a molding trial is run to "set everything up" The mold technician usually starts with a small shot weight and gradually fills the mold until it is 95 to 99% full. Then a small amount of holding pressure is applied and the holding pressure time is increased until the gate freezes on the injection molded part (solidification time). The solidification of the gate is important because it determines the cycle time, and the cycle time is a decisive factor for the efficiency and thus the profitability of the production process. If the parts have sink marks, the holding pressure is increased until these are minimized, and the part weight is reached. Once the settings have settled in and the injection molding machine is producing good parts, a setup sheet is created to standardize the process for future production runs.
Whether you need a company to build molds for plastic injection molding and make your plastic parts, or you are just looking for an export mold to make plastic parts in your own facility, with your own plastics for injection molding, we are ready to get the job done correctly and quickly.
